Message From The Mayor

Local elected officials are positioned to protect the health and safety of their residents and to provide reassurance in times of crisis. Know that your elected officials are working with officials at the local, state, and federal levels to bring you the most up-to-date information and resources.

As a resident of Lockington, you know this is a small community. I ask that you respect your neighbors and respect the orders from Dr. Amy Acton, Director of the Ohio Health Department and Governor Mike DeWine. Their orders have been put in place to protect Ohioans from the spread of COVID-19.

Lockington is a high-risk community due to its small population. This population is, largely, made up of the elderly, disabled, and children. I ask that you lead by example by following guidelines and directives to prevent the spread of this highly contagious virus.
Ohioans have done a great job at flattening the curve by following these orders. We can do better. We are all in this together. If Ohioans follow the orders it will shorten the stay-at-home order.

Follow the links provided to learn more about what you can do to protect yourself and others. Remember, we are all in this together. As the adage begins, “It takes a Village…”

Stay safe and healthy!

Tracy M. Johnson
Mayor
